We are seeking a CMT Manager to join our growing team. This role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing field and laboratory testing operations while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management (LMA): Lead, manage, and hold accountable all field and lab personnel.
     
  • Project Management: Oversee estimating, proposals, scheduling, quality control, reporting, and client satisfaction.
     
  • P&L Ownership: Manage budgets, profitability, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth.
     
  • Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce a culture of safety across field and lab operations.
     
  • Laboratory Management: Oversee daily operations of the materials testing lab to maintain compliance and accuracy.
     
  • Training & Certifications: Develop and support Field/Lab staff through training, certifications, and career advancement.
     
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and improve gross margins (GM%) across Field and Lab operations.
     


Required Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and project management experience in construction or a related industry.
     
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and client-relations skills.
     
  • High School Diploma plus a minimum of 5 years of construction leadership experience.
     
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
     
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
     


Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of experience managing a combination of the following services:
     
    • Sampling and testing of concrete/mortar/grout in field and laboratory settings
       
    • Reinforcing steel inspections (footings, drilled shafts, slabs, decks, walls, columns, etc.)
       
    • Soils sampling, field density testing, and laboratory testing
       
    • Proof-rolling observations
       
    • Foundation bearing grade observations
       
    • Drilled shaft inspections
       
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Geology, or related field.
     
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.), Engineer Intern (E.I.), or NICET, ACI, ICC, or ODOT certifications.
     
  • However, we will train the right applicant with proven leadership and construction project management experience.
